Amitasha and Kailash Hospital join hands to conduct a medical camp for over ‘400’ underprivileged girls at Amity International School, Saket
After successfully conducting a medical camp for more than 400 Amitasha Noida and Mayur Vihar students at Amity International School, Noida, Amitasha (a philanthropic project of Amity Humanity Foundation aimed at providing free education to underprivileged girl children) in association with Kailash Hospital organized a two day free “Medical Camp” for over 400 underprivileged girl students studying in Class Nursery to XII at Amitasha, Saket located in Amity International School, Saket, M-Block.
The medical camp was inaugurated by Guest of Honour, Ms. Sapna Chauhan, Vice Chairperson, Amiown Schools and ACERT, Dr. Meenu Khattar- General Physician, Kailash Healthcare Limited and Mrs. Rekha Ranade Principal, Amity International School, Saket.
Ms. Sapna Chauhan addressed the gathering and emphasized on the importance of sound health for Amitasha students and thanked the team of Kailash Hospital for partnering Amitasha in this noble cause. She also interacted with Amitasha students and inspired them to excel in all spheres of life.
During the Camp, a team of eminent Doctors from Kailash Hospital gave free medical check up to Amitasha students (underprivileged girl children) of Saket and Gurgaon Branches. The Check up included screening of Height, Weight, Blood Pressure, Body Mass Index, Temperature, Dental Screening and Dietician tips.
Welcoming the team of doctors, Mrs. Rekha Ranade- Principal, Amity International School, Saket said that Amitasha is dedicated to the overall development of the underprivileged girl students and giving good health care facilities to students is a step in that direction. She informed the gathering that Amitasha, is a brainchild of Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan- Chairperson, Amity International Schools, whose relentless efforts have started showing results as Amitasha students passed with flying colors in the recently conducted CBSE examination.
Sharing diet related important tips to the students, Dr. Ritika Gupa- Dietician, Kailash Healthcare Limited said that Dietary habits of children are totally dependent on their parents and they learn by imitating others. She requested the parents present during the medical camp to encourage their children to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables.
Dr. Prerna Gupta- Dental Surgeon, Kailash Healthcare Limited diagnosed Amitasha students during the Camp and told them about the importance of daily teeth brushing. She also focused on the importance of treating dental cavities.
Dr. Meenu Khattar- General Physician, Kailash Healthcare Limited and Adolescent Advice Expert also diagnosed Amitasha students during the camp.
On July 18, 2013, over 100 underprivileged girls studying in AMITASHA Gurgaon located in Amity International School, Gurgaon will undergo the free health screening under the Camp.
