Hon’ble Minister Shri Kailash Yadav, Minister for Khadi and Gram Udyog, Govt. of UP distributes free laptops to Amity students under UP Government’s Free Laptop Distribution Scheme

Under Uttar Pradesh Government’s Free Laptop Distribution Scheme, 554 students from 23 institutions of Amity University, Uttar Pradesh were given laptops during a Function at Amity Campus, Sector-125, Noida.

Sharinghis views, Hon’ble Minister Shri Kailash, Minister for Khadi and Gram Udyog,Govt. of UP said that this youth centric, ambitious scheme, promulgatedby the Hon’ble Chief Minister of UP- Shri Akhilesh Yadav aims to promotehigher education through technology thereby, providing equal opportunities andfacilities to the youth irrespective of their location. He stressed that over80% of the promises that which were made by SP Party in their electionmanifesto have already been fulfilled in the form of various beneficial schemesfor farmers, youth and needy .Rest 20% would be completed by 2014. He alsoshared that very soon SP Government is planning to provide atleast 18-20 hoursof electricity in each and every house of UP.

Praisingthe noble initiative of SP Government, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan- FounderPresident, Amity Group said that the UP Government’s Free LaptopDistribution Scheme would immensely benefit the youth of the State especiallyat remote areas, where technology is yet to reach every household. Dr. Chauhanstated that the distributed laptops would remind the youth of the great visionand dream of Hon’ble Chief Minister of UP- Shri Akhilesh Yadav to makeUttar Pradesh the most development oriented and progressive State of India andthey would be encouraged and motivated to contribute to his dream. Dr. Chauhanalso proposed to facilitate the training of all the beneficiary students underthe scheme so that they can make the best use of technology.

Talkingabout the scheme and free laptop distribution to the students in Gautam BuddhNagar, Mr. Narendra Bhati-Chairman, UP Agro said that today over 10, 933laptops are being distributed in 13 centres of Gautam Buddh Nagar by variousnodal officers. He shared that SP has allocated more than 70% of the fundsfor the benefit of farmers, youth and improving the condition of education inthe State. Special Scholarship schemes have been devised for promotingeducation amongst girls and the government has also announced to pay the feesof the bright students who come from less affluent families and want to studyand progress in their lives.

Addressingthe gathering  Shri Kumar Ravi Kant, DM, NOIDA said thatimplementing UP Government’s Free Laptop Distribution Scheme was amammoth task since it involved a huge number of beneficiaries spread across thestate. He stressed that through the scheme Hon’ble Chief Minister of UP hasprovided wings to the dreams of the youth of the country, empowered them toscale greater heights and bring laurels to their state and country.

The recipient students, who have clearedClass 10+2 in the year 2012 from UP Secondary Education Board, UP SecondarySanskrit Education Board, UP Madarsa Education Board, CBSE or ICSC Board fromUP, beamed with unparallel joy and confidence to scale unfathomable heightsin their career by leveraging technology to the best.
