Amity University hosts 39th National Competition for Young Managers, 2013 (Northern Region Semi Final round)

The 39th National Competition for Young Managers, 2013 (Northern Region Semi Final round )was held at Amity University Uttar Pradesh between the 9th of August, 2013 to 11th of August, 2013 at F2 Auditorium, Amity Business School, Noida. This was an AIMA initiative, Amity University was chosen as the Educational Partner and Host for the for the corporate extravaganza. The National Finals is scheduled for 31st August 2013 at Sheraton Hotel, Saket, Delhi
The Amity Business School was in charge of the coordination for the event in collaboration with the representatives from AIMA (Ms Vandana Puri, Ms Poonam Rawat, Mr Mantosh). Dr Garima Malik and Ms Swati Bhatnagar were the faculties in charge from Amity University.
This event was a competition between the Young Corporates from various leading companies. The theme of the competition is “Inspired Leadership for Turbulent Times and the Power of Youth”. Corporates come in teams of 3 and presented their report which was prejudged by the jury members.
Ms. Vandana Puri delivered the welcome address; Dr Balvindar Shukla , Acting Vice Chancellor, Amity University addressed the gathering . Dr.Sanjeev Bansal Director Amity Business School presided over the event.
Ms. Jayantika Dave, Vice President – HR, Ingersoll Rand, The Chief Guest, addressed the gathering. The inaugural session concluded with the mementoes given to Ms. Jayantika Dave and Dr. Balvindar Shukla. A sapling was presented to Ms. Jayantika Dave from Dr. Balwindar Shukla. Dr Sanjeev Bansal Sir for present for the Inaugural session. The Jury Panel comprised of Professor S.K. Malhotra, Professor A.N. Bhattacharya, Mr. Ashwini Narang and Mr. Gaurav Chhabra.
180 participants in 60 teams participated in the competition. Each team was given 15 minutes to present and another 10 min to answer questions posed by the Jury.
The Valedictory function was held on the 11th of August, 2013 at F1 Seminar Hall, Amity University. Mr Avnit K. Chopra, Chief Guest, and Mr. Pranav Kaul, Guest of Honour, addressed the audience motivating them to excel and do well in their careers. Prof. S.K. Malhotra and Mr. Ashwini Narang delivered the jury’s remarks explaining the ideas and their excellent ideas. Mr. Ashwini Narang announced the winner which is the V-Guard team had the privilege of taking away the first prize. After the prize distribution, mementoes were given to the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Dr.Sanjeev Bansal , Director (ABS), Jury Members and Faculties Incharge by Ms. Vandana Puri. A photo sesssion took place hence forth. Final round will be held on 31st of August, 2013 at Sheraton, New Delhi. Ms. Vandana Puri delivered the Vote of Thanks. Post this, tea and snacks were arranged for the entire team and participants at the lounge
