Students of Amity University celebrate 67th Independence Day with great patriotic fervor

Saluting the sterling spirit of India’s great freedom fighters and celebrating the 67 glorious years of India’s independence, the enthusiastic and zealous students, faculty members and staff of Amity University celebrated Independence Day at University Campus, Sector- 125, Noida

 

The campus evinced feelings of patriotism from every corner. Students and faculty clad in tri- color dresses, Flag hoisting, National Anthem presented a beautiful picture. Hundreds of students, faculty members and staff thronged the Sports ground to witness the celebrations.

 

The event commenced with the Flag Hoisting by Mr. Atul Chauhan- Chancellor, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh and Dr. (Mrs.) B Shukla- Acting Vice Chancellor, Amity University which was accompanied with Nation Anthem, that reverberated in the air.

 

Wishing a very happy Independence Day to Amity fraternity, Dr. (Mrs.) B Shukla- Acting Vice Chancellor, Amity University said that it is a great day for the nation which reminds one of the great martyrs who laid down their lives to free India from the shackles of British Raj. She called upon the young brigade of India to take the reins in their hands with the responsibility to become responsible, dedicated, honest and sincere citizens of the country and lead it in the globalised world.

 

Addressing the students, Mr. Atul Chauhan- Chancellor, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh said that there is no greater happiness than celebrating Independence Day with all the family members of Amity. He stressed that although India received its glorious freedom 67 years ago but economically it still have to become free and exercise its full power and might. He stated that today, when America sneezes, India catches cold; when American economy is in doldrums, India’s rupee is at the lowest and when China decides to come out with cheap solar panels, Indian Solar industry shivers. Citing the vision of Dr. Ashok K Chauhan- Founder President, Amity Group, Mr. Atul Chauhan called upon the students realize their innate strength and contribute to the nation building, making India a “Super Power” in the world

 

During the event, students presented motley cultural programmes which included patriotic songs and colorful dances, regaling each and every spectator. The best dressed child, student and faculty were given special Prizes by the Chancellor of the University.
