Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism organises workshop on “Tourism and Environment"
An exclusive workshop was conducted under the Human Value Quarter by Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh. This event, held on 26 March, 2012, was conducted by Dr. GBG Shashi K. Tiwari, Asst. Professor, Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism. The theme of the workshop was “Tourism and Environment”. Dr. Tiwari highlighted upon the facts that should be present while promoting ecotourism. He further stressed upon the benefits of ecotourism. Showing a video on Kerala, he narrated the way ecotourism is appreciated and helpful in sustaining as well promoting a destination.
The workshop went further with discussion on the importance of ecotourism in today’s times of global changes in the environment. All the students of Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism, Amity Institute of Physiotherapy and Amity School of Computer Science participated enthusiastically, analyzing the need for ecotourism in the present scenario.
The one-hour session witnessed a lot of questions from the students, who were inquisitive to know about the field in such an interesting manner.
