Amity-India Immersion Programme

14International Students from Brunel University, Southampton Solent Universityand University of Kent, UK participate in Amity-India Immersion Programme

 

Aspart of  two week long Amity-India Immersion Programme, 14 Internationalstudents from Brunel University, Southampton Solent University and Universityof Kent, UK pursuing different programmes have come for a study tour to AmityUniversity Noida campus from 25 August to 09 September, 2018 during which theywill gain an insight into Indian Education System and Culture.

 

Duringthe programme, the students will also be familiarized with topics such asIndian Economy and Business Environment, Growth of Indian Science & Technology,Indian History & Religion, Pitfalls and Opportunities of doing Business inIndia, Indian Style of Management with Concentration on Self-Awareness, StressManagement Meditation and Yoga.

 

Ms.Balbir Kaur, Professor- Department of Education, Brunel University and Prof.(Dr.) Gurinder Singh- Amity Group Vice Chancellor inaugurated the Programme.

 

Welcomingthe students to India and Amity, Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh talked about‘Cross Cultural Management and Goal Setting’ and encouraged the Internationalstudents to understand the diverse segments of India and learn from crosscultural exposure which will help them both, professionally and personally, ina long run. He opined that relationship building and networking are key aspectsto be a successful professional. Dr. Singh advised the students that to sailthrough difficult situations, an individual must inculcate a positive &self-motivating attitude and disciplined behavior.

 

Addressingthe students, Ms. Balbir Kaur, Professor- Department of Education, BrunelUniversity, UK thanked Amity for their warm welcome and called upon theInternational students to take advantage of exposure in India which will helpthem nurture diverse cultural and global outlook.

 

Sebastian John Graves-Read,pursuing Law from Southampton Solent Universityshared that he is interested in learning about the Indian judicial andpolitical system and look forward to the parliament visit to held during thetwo week programme
