Students of Amity University win The Northern Regional Finale of IET- PATW 2018

IET Northern Regional Finale of PresentAroundThe World (PATW) Competition 2018 was successfully held on Saturday, April 07, 2018 atAmity University Noida campus. The event was attended by shortlisted participantsof IET On campus Student Chapters from Delhi Technical University (DTU), AmityUniversity Rajasthan, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, and Bharti VidhyapeethCollege of Engineering (BVCoE), Delhi.

Present Around the World (PATW) is amongstone of the most prestigious technical competitions organized by The Institutionof Engineering and Technology (IET) which is one of the world’s leadingprofessional societies for the engineering and technology community, with morethan 150,000 members in 127 countries and offices in Europe, North America andAsia-Pacific. PATW competition is all about the presentation skills and overallpersonality development of the students/participants & is arranged in fourlevels: University, Regional, National,and Global finals.

PATWCompetition at Amity University Campus level was held on 23rd March, 2018 wherein students from various Amity institutions took part and competed with each other. Such competitions helps in nurturing the thinking ability and communication skills of students

The shortlisted students participated inNorthern Regional rounds on 7th April 2018. During the competition, a heterogeneous panel of jury members of eminence such as Ministry of Railways, IET-DLN andIET On Campus Student Chapters adjudged the NationalRegional Round.

Amity University Noida campus students won theFirst and Second position. The winner MsPriyal Dhir, student of B.Tech. (Aerospace Engineering), Class of 2019 fromAmity Institute of Aerospace Engineering was awarded Rs.14,500/- cash prize along with certificate  and The Runner-up, Mr. Rashbir Singh, student of B.tech. (Information Technology), Classof 2019 from Amity School of Engineering & Technology (ASET) was awardedcash prize of Rs.9,000/- along with certificate by the IET Executivecommittee Members – Ms. Tarini Baswal, GM, CRIS, Indian railways, Mr. HaneefKhan, Treasurer, IET-DLN, Mr. Ashish Srivastava, Honorary Secretary, IET-DLN,Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Asst. Hony. Secretary-IET-DLN and Mr. Aman Rajput, YPChairman, IET-DLN.

 

Ms. Priyal Dhir will now proceed to participatein the South Asia Regional Rounds of this prestigious global PATW competition.

 

All the present executive committee members ofIET DLN recognized Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, AmityUniversity Uttar Pradesh for her continued guidance and support to theengineering fraternity. IET DLN also recognised all the Jury Members, organizers and volunteers during the event with the certificates and mementos.
