Teacher Training Programme by Amity Institute of Education, Saket, New Delhi in collaboration with the Manappat Foundation

Amity Institute of Education, Saket,New Delhi in collaboration with the Manappat Foundation organized  three days Teacher Training  Programme from 11th - 13th  October, 2017 at Amity Campus, Saket,New Delhi.

The theme of the programme was "Trends and Techniques for Interactive Classroom Teaching".

The Training was conducted for the teachers of Hamara School, Society for Human Welfare and Education, Aligarh to enhance their teaching skills so that they can create a favorable and joyful learning environment in their classroom by using Interactive Approaches. Activities based sessions were conducted by the experienced faculty members of Amity Institute of Education to meet the objectives of the programme.

The programmme commenced with the Lamp lighting and welcome address by Dr. Ranjana Bhatia, Principal cum Director,AIE, New Delhi. She shared her views and familiarized the participants with the Institute’s vision and mission.

Ice-breaking session was conducted by Ms. Puneet Rahi, Asst Prof, AIE, New Delhi. The participants got the opportunity to know each other better.

 First Technical Session was conducted by Dr. Ranjana Bhatia and Ms. Puneet Rahi on“Mind Mapping for Independent Learning” during which the participants enjoyed the group activities and were enthusiastic in exhibiting their work.

Second Technical Session was on “Cooperative/Collaborative Learning” by Dr. Sanjna Vij, Assistant Professor, AIE, New Delhi wherein the participants were involved in group activities to create a favorable learning environment.        

During the second day, first technical Session was conducted by Dr. Sadhna Tyagi- Assistant Professor, AIE, New Delhi on the “Unconventional Teaching Aids”. The participants actively participated in the teaching aid preparation activities given to them.

Second Technical Session was taken by Dr. Pratimam Saxena-Assistant Professor, AIE, New Delhi on “Visualization Techniques for Teaching Learning Process”. The participants exhibited their creativity in the group and individual work assigned to them.

Third Technical Session was conducted by Ms. Shiwani Bali, Assistant Professor, AIE, New Delhi on “Teaching by using kinesthetic abilities of children”. The participants discussed about the kinesthetic learning and participated in designing the activities for kinesthetic learners.

First Technical Session of third day was conducted by Ms. Rashi Dubey Mishra, Assistant Professor, AIE, New Delhi on “Use of Brainstorming for Effective Teaching”. The participants enthusiastically participated in all activities and exhibited their work on worksheets.

Second Technical Session was conducted by Ms.Deepti Madhura, Assistant Professor, AIE, New Delhi on “Integrated/Interdisciplinary Teaching Approach”. The participants discussed Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Approaches. They were further elaborated with the help of an activity.

The participants shared their experiences about learning of new and interactive classroom teaching techniques in the reflective session. They gave positive feedback about resource persons, learning techniques and overall environment. They shared that the unique and wonderful experiences that they gained during three days workshop would be a lifelong memory for them.

During Valedictory Session,participants were felicitated with certificates of participation by Dr. Shah Mohd. Shadab, Chief functionary, Society of Human Welfare and Education,Aligarh and  Dr. Ranjana Bhatia, Principal cum Director, Amity Institute of Education, Saket, New Delhi.   

At the end of the session, participants interacted with the faculty and expressed their wish to be the part of such empowering programmes in near future which will further strengthen the ties between Manappat Foundation and Amity Institute of Education, New Delhi

Three days Teacher Training programme was concluded with a thank you note for everyone who contributed in making the event successful.
