Budding Artists showcase their talent during Annual Art Exhibition- Kreativ’17 at Amity
To showcase the creativity of budding artists, Amity School of Fine Arts (ASFA) has organized three day "Kreativ’ 17 –Annual Art Exhibition” at Amity Campus,Sector-125, Noida.
Renowned Artists -Mr. Niren Sengupta, Prof. Kishen Ahuja, Dr. Archana Garodia- ExPresident, FICCI and Dr. Pawan Jain- Swayam- Head, FICCI were present during the inauguration.
Welcoming the distinguished gathering and dwelling on the aim of "Kreativ 17’, Mrs.Divya Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity School of Fine Arts said that Kreativ is a three day event which provides a platform to the budding artists to present their creativity along with an interface with the industry experts who guide the students to further hone their talents. She mentioned that Amity believes in promoting the young talent and this year Amity organized an art exhibition by students of ASFA in India Art Fair and their works were well appreciated by the art connoisseurs. She thanked the guests for their gracious presence and said ‘‘students eagerly wait for the annual exhibition wherein they reveal their artsy best to the veterans of Art and Culture through their works.”
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Niren Sengupta said that it is important for an artist to be thoughtful of the work one is doing. He averred that being creative is a difficult task as it requires a person to conceptualize an idea and then bring it in form of real art. Focusing on Art as a potent medium to express social messages, he encouraged students to completely express their creativity and let it flow freely so that they can truly come up with masterpieces of art.
Lauding the outstanding art work of students, Dr. Archana Garodia said that the quality of art during the exhibition is of incredible quality and at par with the work of experienced professional artists. She called upon the women artists to never let their creative flame go down as many women artists soon give back seat to their talent with time and circumstances.
Dr.Pawan Jain said that the creative boundaries of different domains are blurring. She urged the budding artists not to restrict one’s talent in a particular domain and advised them to explore other dimensions where their creativity could be utilized.
Presenting a brief about his installation, Student Shawn Akshay Martin, Bachelors of Fine Arts – 4th year explained his creation of conceptual art with spiked chair and easel which represents the anxiety an artist experiences while creating one’s artwork and the outcome.
Explaining her creation, Student Pavani Nagpal, Bachelors of Fine Arts, 3rdyear who created Canvas stretched on Sofa named ”Ziddi Dil” said that her work represents women empowerment and the will to fight for it. She mentioned that mostly, women are judged on their prettiness and face value but people fail to realize that they are as human as the other gender. She expressed the stubbornness of women’s hearts to fight for equality through the art work.
During the three day exhibition, a wide array of artworks including paintings (Landscape Paintings, Portrait, Life Drawings,Figurative Paintings, Abstract Paintings, Pencil Sketching),Sculptures,Installations, Print Advertisements, Digital Art, Animation, Photography,Typography, Graphic Design and 3 D Animation by undergraduate and master students of various programmes under Amity School of Fine Arts are on display.
