Amity University welcomes hundreds of Alumni during Alumni Reunion 2017 at Noida Campus
Hundreds of alumni went down the memory lane during Amity University’s Alumni Reunion 2017 at Noida Campus,Sector 125.
Various institutions of Amity University including Domains of Agriculture Sciences, Natural Resources &Environmental Sciences and Faculty of Health and Allied Sciences held their alumni meet which witnessed several nostalgic moments.
The day was filled with activities to reconnect with classmates, batch mates, seniors, juniors and other alumni. Many alumni shared their success journey of accomplishments and several accolades who are now are at the highest echelons in the corporate world.
Welcoming the alumni and their families, Dr. (Prof.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh said that Alumni Meets are very important not only for the alumni but also for the alma mater as it gives the institution an opportunity to reconnect with their alumni She apprised that it is delightful to see the alumni meeting each other, their former lecturers and other staff. She added that such meets enable the alumni to familiarize themselves with the developments of the alma mater. Feeling proud on the achievements of Amitians, Dr. Shukla expressed that Amitians have achieved unparalleled heights in respective fields making Amity a well reckoned institution across the globe.
During the occasion, Dr. Digvijay Singh, Alumnus of Amity Institute of Public Health recalled various incidents during his academic tenure and lauded Amity for the speedy growth and development over the decade. He appreciated the vision of Founder President of Amity to provide global exposure to every student. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the institute and his teachers which made him what he is today.
Ms. Ruchi Goel, Alumnus of Amity Institute of Physiotherapy thanked the Faculty Members for being constant source of motivation and said that the faculty not only guided her through the academic tenure but also during the initial career phase that helped her achieve success in personal and professional life.
Ms. Priyanka Shukla, alumnus of M.Phrama - class 2011-13; Mr. Bharat Saini, alumnus of M. Pharma – class 2012-14;Mr. Vaibhav Talwar, alumnus of Bachelors in Physiotherapy- class 2006-10 and Ms. Shabnam Hussain, alumnus of M Sc Environmental Sciences, class 2010-12 were conferred upon Amity Alumni Achievers Award 2017 in recognition of their achievements in respective fields.
Every institution presented a brief overview about the growth, recent developments, achievements, accomplishments and future plans.
During the meet, Alumni Newsletter,Alumni Chapters and new features of Alumni Website were launched.
Dr. Ajay Rana, Advisor, Amity Alumni Association; Wg Cdr S K Goel, Vice President, International Affairs; HODs/HOIs of institutions, Faculty Members and staff of Amity University were also present during the occasion.
