Enchanting Musical Performance by Singer MIKA Singh marks the conclusion of Amity Youth Fest’17
The three day long knowledge and entertainment extravaganza “Amity Youth Fest-AYF’17” concluded today with the enchanting and pulsating musical performance by renowned singer Mika Singh at Amity Campus, Sector 125 Noida
The youth fest witnessed a plethora of events which showcased multifarious talent of the thousands of students who had come across the country. More than 100 technical and cultural events were conducted over the three days of the festival including mesmerizing Fashion Show, Musical Rock Band Competition,Dance Competition, Workshops, Quiz, Fun Games, Debates, Mock Parliament and stunning Star Night amongst others.
The spectacular fest epitomized the creativity and vigor of the quintessential spirit of Amity University.
Amity School of Fine Arts organized “On the Spot Painting Competition”wherein 30 students participated and beautifully expressed their creativity on canvas. They were given three hours to paint their thoughts on the themes “My Dream” and “Women Empowerment”.
Amity School of Business organized Brand Identity Prism in which there were two rounds. In 1st Round named as Rapid Fire Round, deep knowledge of students about particular brands was examined and in 2nd round – Psychi Round, the students have to prove hypothetical theories about a brand. 16 teams of various colleges including Ramanujan College, Ip College for Women, Indian School of Business and Finance, IMT Ghaziabad, Shaheed BhagatSingh College and Amity University amongst other participated in the competition. The First Prize was awarded to team from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College with cash prize of Rs. 12,000/- and 2nd Prize of Rs. 7,000/-was given to team from IMT Ghaziabad
During the fest, Amity Institute of English Studies and Research organized English Poetry Recitation competition “Poet’s Corner” wherein more than 30 students of various colleges across Delhi NCR including Lady Sriram College, JNU, Maharaja Agrasen College, SRCC and others participated. During the competition,the participants were given 2-4 minutes to use their ingenuity and create beautiful verses. The competition was judged by renowned poets Dr. Mukesh Sharma, Mr. Amit Sadana and Poetess Ms. Deepti Jindal. Also, Hindi Club of Amity University organized Hindi Poetry Recitation competition which witnessed the participation of 33 students from various colleges across Delhi NCR. The participants recited poems of different themes such as Sanskrit,Patriotism, Politics, Motherhood etc. The competition was judged by Dr.Vibhavana, Principal, Sarawswati Government College and Dr. Rajeev, Principal,Kisan Adarsh College.
Story Telling witnessed the over 200 participants from across the premium colleges of Delhi NCR, such as IIT- Delhi, SRCC, Miranda House, etc. whose great stories were judged by Mr. Varun Singh, Motivational Speaker and Founder of NGO-Muskan along with Ms. Sakshee Singh, Assistant Professor AICISM. The top fifteen stories were awarded, out of which best three received cash prized and rest were honored with medals. The enthralling stories narrated by the budding authors will be compiled subsequently and published into a book.
More than 30 workshops conducted during the fest successfully culminated with humongous participation of students which depicted their pursuit towards gaining knowledge and inculcating skills along with entertainment.
During the three day fest, various cultural competitions were also conducted including Aphesia- Battle of Bands; Oscillation - Western Dance Competition; Nrityarsh- Classical Dance Competition and Rangraise - Folk Dance Competition amongst others in which more than 500 students across the nation participated contributing in making cultural competitions- landmark signature events of AYF2017.
The last day of Cultural Evening-AYF’17 concluded with a pulsating and energetic performance by the performance of Punjabi Singer Mika Singh
From latest hits “Dhingana”, “Billo” to 'Gandi Baat', 'Mauja Hi Mauja' ‘Aaj Ki party Meri Taraf Se’ and 'Tu Mere Agal Bagal' to'Chinta Ta Ta Chita Chita' and 'Rani Tu Mein Raja' - Mika performed all of his major Bollywood hits as the crowd danced and sang along.
