Certificate Distribution Ceremony by Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amity School of Engineering and Technology for students clearing Automotive Skill Development Programme

Department of Mechanical Engineering, AmitySchool of Engineering and Technology organized Certificate Distribution Ceremonyfor the students who cleared the exam conducted by Automotive Skill DevelopmentCouncil conducted on 11-Aug-2016 at Amity University.

Departmentof Mechanical Engineering, ASET, Amity University is offering SkillDevelopment Course QA Standards Incharge (Level 5) in collaboration withAutomotive Skill Development Council (ASDC)

The Chief Guestof the ceremony Mr. S K Chaturvedi, CEO,ASDC spoke on the current scenario in Automotive Industry in India and theimportance of skill development courses for making these students industryready and increase their employability.

Prof Vivek Kumar, Head of Department,Mechanical Engineering, Amity School of Engineering and Technology welcomedthe dignitaries and presented a brief account of the journey so far since thelaunch of the course including the challenges faced like  integrating skill based curriculum with the regular curriculum,  creating industry case studies , simulating industry environment within Amity through case-studies , developing the expertise etc. He shared that the second batch of students is undergoingthe course.

Professor (Dr.) M. K. Dutta addressed the students emphasizing the importance

Amity gives to skill development courses. He also said that more and more students should benefit from such courses.

Lt. Gen PD Bhargava, Grp Dy Vice Chancellor ,Amity University stressed on the importance of skill developmentcourses and how these are going to benefit the students.

Many studentswho have undergone the programme shared their views, affirming the importanceof skill development course in the career.

Mr. Chaturvedi along with Professor K MSoni , Dy Dean Technology Domain AUUP  distributed thecertificates to the students
