Amity Institute of Education, New Delhi organized a three days National Seminar on the importance of Ramcharitramanas
The Amity Institute of Education,New Delhi organized a three days National Seminar sponsored by Central Hindi Directorate, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development on the theme “Ramcharitmanas Ki Samajik Avam Shaikshik Prasangigkta “on July 27th - 29th 2016, at Amity Campus, Saket, New Delhi.
One Hundred Twenty Two (122) participants registered for the seminar from various Universities, schools and educational Institutions of Delhi and NCR. Nine Universities that participated in the Seminar from Delhi and NCR included:

Dr. Ravi Prakash Tekchandani, Director,Kendriya Hindi Nideshalaya, New Delhi., Shri Baldev Bhai Sharma, ChairmanNational Book Trust, New Delhi, Dr. Ganesh Dutt Sharma, Vice Chairman , DelhiSanskrit Academy, New Delhi and Prof. (Dr.) Ranjana Bhatia, Principal cum Director, Amity Institute of Education, Saket, New Delhi inaugurated the Seminar.
After,the inaugural session, Prof. (Dr.) Ranjana Bhatia, Principal cum Director Amity Institute of Education, New Delhi welcomedthe participants.
Shri. Ashok Kumar, Assistant Research Officer, Kendriya Hindi Nideshalaya, New Delhi spoke about mammoth work being done by Central Hindi Directorate, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development the and welcomed the participants.
During the first day of the seminar, two technical sessions unfolded. In the first Technical Session, Dr. Sitesh Alok ,Poet , Novelist, Story writer and Journalist Chaired the session .The speaker for the Session was Shri Radhey Shyam Shukla, Poet and Novelist from Hyderabad. The speakers in this session while deliberating stated that Religion and Ideologies are two different things. Ideologies are spread by the followers but religion is related to humanity that includes all ideologies. Further, the speakers mentioned about literature, poetries and Vedas and their importance in the society. The session ended with the question and answer round between the participants and the speakers.
The second Technical Session was chaired by Dr. Ratnavali Kaushik, Associate Prof., College of Vocational Studies, New Delhi. The speakers for this Session were Dr. Yogindra Pratap Singh, Director, Ayodhya Research Institute, Department of Culture,Government of Uttar Pradesh and Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Dubey, Controller of Examination, Gujarat who talked about today’s youth and how they can learn from the teachings of Ramchartirmanas. They stated that it is not only a religious book but is a book that talks about humanity and how it can help in developing social relations. The speakers highlighted the relevance and social significance of Ramcharitmanasin today’s time. The session concluded with a thought provoking round of question and answers.
The second day of the seminar began with the presentation by the rapporteurs,who gave summary on the sessions of the first day of the seminar. The third Technical Session was chaired by Prof. Shri Prakash Singh, Prof. of Political Science, Delhi University. The speaker for the Session was Dr. Naresh Shandeliye, Poet, Editor and Novelist, New Delhi who highlighted the significance of Ramcharitmanas in these turbulent times.
The fourth Technical Session was Chaired by Prof. Ramakant, Principal, Saraswati Gyan Mandir Inter College, Kanpur. The speaker for this Session was Dr. Rachana Bimal, Senior Lecturer, Satyawati College,Delhi University. Through her in-depth and enthusiastic presentation, she portrayed the beautiful message and teachings for the common man, in order to lead ahappy and a peaceful life.
The fifth technical session was chaired by Dr.Rajkamal Mishra, Dy. Registrar (Academic) Maharaj Vinayak Global University, Jaipur.The speaker for the session was Prof. (Dr.)P.C. Tandon, Department of Hindi, Delhi University. During this technical session, the speaker and the chairperson highlighted the changes in the present society where money is valued more than the people.They further emphasized that Lord Ram should be the ideal for today’s youth and only people who idolize him can succeed in life.
The third day of the Seminar began with the presentation by the rapporteurs, who presented a summary on the sessions of the second day of the seminar.
Dr. Rajendra Pandey, Director,Translation Studies and Training, IGNOU, New Delhi chaired the sixth technical session. The speakers of this session were Dr. Satish Alok, Freelancer- poet and writer and Dr. Rajkamal Mishra, Deputy Registrar, Maharaja Vinayak Global University, Jaipur. The speakers and the chairperson of this session deliberated upon the comparison between Shri Valmiki’s Ramayanaand Shri Tulsidas’s Ramcharitmanas. They further emphasized that beliefs should be based upon the facts and should not to be blindly followed.
The seventh technical session comprised of the question and answer session and a report covering the brief summary of all the six sessions that were held during three days seminar.
The three days National Seminar ended with the valedictory session that included a message from Dr. Ashok K Chauhan,Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF). In his message, he laid emphasis on the social and educational relevance of Shri Ramcharitmanas and conveyed his blessings for all the presenters and participants of the seminar.
Dr. Dharmendra Kumar, Assistant Professor, Khalsa College, Delhi University congratulated the institute for organizing the seminar and emphasized upon the relevance of the theme of the seminar in today’s stressful life.

All the participants were given a certificate of participation during the valedictory session.
The three days seminar ended on a successful note. The theme of the seminar gave a food for thought to all the participants. The interaction between the chairpersons, speakers and the participants was very useful.
