241 students conferred with certificates during Concluding Ceremony of Amity University Summer School
The 10th “Amity University Summer School” concluded today at University Campus, Sector 125 Noida during which 241 students were conferred with participation certificates.
Amity University Summer School gives an opportunity to the students to learn a program of their choice from a bouquet of 23 programs in the area of Management, Science & Technology, Mass Communication, Fine Arts, Fashion,Interior Design, Law, Tourism, Hospitality, Foreign Language and Physical Education. It helps students to identify their real liking for a particular stream of education and decide their career path.
More than 240 students participated in Amity University Summer School 2016 from schools across globe including Global Genesis, DPS, Kings College, Air Force School, Doon International School, GD Geonka, Amity International Schools, Mayo School and many more.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh said, “I am impressed with the talent and confidence of graduands of Amity University Summer School 2016. The decision to be part of summer school during the vacations shows the eagerness of students to learn and grow in their respective careers.” He stressed that Amity believes in nurturing not only good professionals but global leaders who lead the world with knowledge and values. Dr. Chauhan advised the students to take up every challenge they face with positive attitude as it will help them in achieving success.
Highlighting the importance of Summer School,Dr. Ajay Rana, Director, Amity University Summer School said that Amity is providing a platform to students to receive in-depth knowledge about the chosen programme along with holistic exposure to variety of other programmes. He averred that the students experience college life by staying in campus which enables them to practically examine the various career options and choose the right domain. Dr. Rana opined that it empowers a sense of rationality to their decision of Graduation from any University.
Sharing her experience, Ms. Aaliya Ahmad who opted for Biotechnology course said that it has been a great learning experience and proved to be very beneficial in choosing the right career for her. She mentioned that two week programme not only focused on theoretical knowledge of course but also groomed her holistically by providing her exposure to other subjects such as photography, personality development, hospitality etc..
Ms. Kritika Sharma who selected Filmmaking course said that Amity University Summer School provided an opportunity to interact with the industry experts and doyens that helped her discover new interests and inclination within her. She thanked the mentors and faculty members of Amity for facilitating her in making short documentary which polished her as a Director, Narrator and Scriptwriter.
During the Summer School, students were exposed to various extra curricular activities including cricket match between students of India and Nepal; photography,swimming etc.
