Session commences for new entrants enrolled in specialized MBA programmes at Amity

To familiarize new students with the University and academic system followed in the Institutes, Amity Business School along with thirteen other Institutes offering specialized Management programmes organized“Orientation Session” for the new students of Batch 2015-17 at University Campus, Sector 125 Noida.

This year, Amity received thousands of applications for specialized Management Programmes and after stringent screening through entrance exam and personal interview, over 371 students have made it to the specialized MBA programmes in Marketing and Sales, Human Resource Management,Entrepreneurship, Retail, transport and Logistics, Biotechnology Management,Media Management, Hospitality Management, Insurance and Banking.

Following Amity’s culture of blending Modernity with Tradition,the programme commenced with Havan which was attended by new entrants,respective Institutional Heads/Directors and Faculty members.

During the orientation programme, Dr. (Mrs) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh welcomed the new batch of students and motivated them to study with complete dedication and sincerity and stressed that Amity is as good as they make it. She further added that their respective Institutions will provide best facilities, resources and infrastructure and it depends on them how they make best use of the opportunity given to them.

Welcoming the students, Dr.Sanjeev Bansal, Director, Amity Business School said that the orientation ceremony isan important rite of passage for freshers to be inducted into the Institute and University. He added that they are encouraged to attend the ceremony as it provides an excellent opportunity for students to meet their fellow students,seniors and faculty members, at the same time apprising them with the academic calendar, important guidelines, attendance procedure and other important academic and non-academic information. Dr. Bansal emphasized on the importance of time for management students and briefed them with various resources they could make use of during their studies at University.

Over 247 students have been registered in specialized MBAs in Amity Business School and 124 in 13 other Institutes including Amity College of Commerce and Finance, Amity School of Insurance, Banking and Actuarial sciences, Amity School of Hospitality, Amity School of Communication, Amity Institute of Biotechnology and others.
