MoU signed between Amity University and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNu)

A Delegation from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakhstan (kazNU) visited Amity University, Sector-125, Noida and signed a MoU to facilitate mutually benefitting International ties between both the Universities known for their excellence and repute.

 

The MoU was signed by Dr.Galimkair Mutanov-Rector, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh- Additional Group Vice Chancellor, Amity in the presence of H.E.Mr. Bulat Sarsenbayev – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to India, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan-Founder President, Amity Group and Lt. Gen. P.D. Bhargava -Group Deputy Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh.

 

The MoU will facilitate Faculty and Administrative staff exchange, Student exchange at Graduate and Undergraduate levels, Joint educational programs, Joint research activities, Publication of Articles, Reports and other scientific materials of the University’s  faculty members, staff and students in the periodical publications of the partner-University and assigning leading scientists and professors for supervising PhD students’ research work at the partner-University.

 

Welcoming the distinguished delegation, Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh-Additional Group Vice Chancellor, Amity outlined the similarities between India and Kazakhstan, the ups and downs faced by the economies of both the countries, their multi- ethnic and multi-cultural strengths, IT prowess, and the vision of respective Prime Ministers to bolster the economy by improving the quality of educational institutions. He also announced that Amity will have its presence in Kazakhstan by July 2015.

 

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Galimkair Mutanov, Rector, Al-FarabiKazakh National University said that the diplomatic relations between India and Kazakhstan were established in February 1992.Sharing the vision of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he stressed, “one of the key solutions to be one of the top 30 countries in the world is to challenge overwhelming change in education”. He remarked that there are over 133 Universities and Institutions in Kazakhstan and there were over 6,29 ,500 students studying in Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) in 2012-13. Around 1,70,000 new students are admitted to HEIs in Kazakhstan every year. He outlined the achievements of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the International Accreditation of various programmes offered by the University. He expressed his hope that the association with Amity University would be long lasting and fruitful for both the Universities.

 

Sharing his views, H.E.Bulat Sarsenbayev – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to India said that Kazakhstan and Indiahave very good business and trade relations and expressed his joy over the MoU signed between Amity and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

 

During the occasion, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University honored Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh- Additional GroupVice Chancellor, Amity with a Gold Medal for his unparallel contribution to the education sector in India.

 

The Delegation discussed with Prof. Dr. Gurinder Singh-Additional Group Vice Chancellor, Amity the further possibility of setting upAmity School and Amity University Campus in Kazakhstan and India Immersion Program for KazNU students and vice versa.

 

Kazakhstan is celebrating its New Year “Navroze” on 21 March 15 for four days. As part of the celebrations in India, a group of students from Kazakhstan National University gave beautiful and mesmerizing performances, familiarizing the audience with the rich culture and traditions of Kazakhstan through Kakah National music, Kazakh national songs and Kazakh Dance. Much to the amazement of the audience, the artists played songs from Hindi Movies such as “Kal ho naa ho”, “Jai Ho” and“Guzaarish”

 

The student performers from Kazakh National University, Kazakhstan who formed the part of the troupe included Ainur Kenzhegaliyeva  – Director of the ensemble of National Instruments,  Galya Yesmukhanbetova – Director of show-ballet "Bakhyt", Malika Yesmukhanbetova – Singer and Dancer, Samal Zhanatkyzy – Singer, Shamshinur Mekessov – Singer and Musician, Alibek Mukhamejanov– Musician, Nurtas Sheriyazdan– Musician, Gaukhar Balgarina– show-ballet "Bakhyt",Sahdugash Baryssova – Show-ballet "Bakhyt", Yana Ilina – Show-ballet"Bakhyt", Gulnariym Parymbek – Show-ballet "Bakhyt" andAkmarzhan Taskanova – Show-ballet "Bakhyt"

 

Also present during the occasion was Mrs. Raushan Tentekova – Spouse of Rector of Al-FarabiKazakh National University, Kazakhstan.
