Russian Delegations from MoscowUniversity of Industry and Finance- Synergy and Esenin Ryazan State University,Russia visited Amity Campus, Sector-125, Noida to discuss possiblecollaborations in the areas of Research, Publications, Academic exchanges anddeveloping linkages with industry in respective countries.
Wg. Cdr S K Goel- Dy. Director,International Affairs Department welcomed Mr. Mikhail V. Kudinov, Adviser forthe Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and theDirector of the Public Relations Dept., Mr. Mikhail S. Lazorenko, Head of theInternational Relation Dept from Moscow University of Industry and Finance,Synergy and Mr. Mikhail Lenkov, Vice-Rector for Education, Ms. Svetlana Fokina,Academic Mobility Specialist from EseninRyazan State University, Russia.
Giving a presentation, Mr. Mikhail S. Lazorenko, Head of theInternational Relation Dept from Moscow University of Industry and Finance,Synergy briefed the gathering aboutMoscow University of Industry and Finance which, he shared, is one of the largest universities in Russia with 35000+students, 10 Faculties, 15 Branches in Russian Federation & wide Internationalrepresentation in London, Singapore and Dubai.
Ms. Svetlana Fokina, Academic MobilitySpecialist from Esenin Ryazan State University, Russia shared that Esenin Ryazan University is a State University founded in1915, hosting 10 different Institutes and numerous International students fromAsia and Europe. She briefed that Ryazan University offers a wide bouquet ofunder graduate Programmes in Chemistry, Biology, Teacher Training, ComputerArchitecture, Journalism, Linguistics, History, Hotel Management and Tourismamongst others. She expressed that Esenin Ryazan University is exploringpotential collaboration options in the area of student exchange for short and longduration, faculty exchange, Joint R&D projects, Joint Phd. and joint longterm International Projects.
Referring to Amity as “Indian Howard”, Mr. Mikhail V. Kudinov, Adviser forthe Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation appreciated the progressive approach adopted by the University. Heremarked that Russia, now, has changed a lot as compared to Soviet Union time;private Higher Education is very strong pillar of the country. He invited adelegation from Amity to visit the two Universities in order to identify thepotential areas of mutual collaboration and proposed to sign a MoU subsequentlyin the mutually identified domains. He invited Amity University to participatein Education Fair to be held in May in Russia.
Sharing his views, Dr. W Selvamurthy- President, AmityScience, Technology and Innovation Foundation said that India has a strategic partnership with Russia in differentareas and domains which strengthens the relationship between the two countries.Dr. Selvamurthy remarked that there is lot of commonality between AmityUniversity and Moscow University of Industry and Finance- Synergy and EseninRyazan State University, Russia in terms of core competencies, which opens alot of possibilities and opportunities for collaboration in the area ofeducation and R&D. He mentioned that Amity University has sound R&Dinfrastructure and mutual partnerships could be initiated in the area of Law,Hospitality, Management, Engineering, Foreign Languages for R&D, JointPhd’s, students and faculty exchanges.
Dr. Sanjeev Bansal- Director, AmityBusiness School, Dr. M Sajnani- Director, Amity Institute of Travel andTourism, Dr. Abhay Bansal- Director, Amity Institute of Information Technologyand Dr. Alka Mudgal- Officiating Head, Amity Institute of Education, Noida outlined the achievements of their respective Institutes and potentialareas of mutual collaboration.
The Delegation was taken around the Campus and shown Amity UniversityOnline, Central Library and Amity Innovation Incubator. The delegationappreciated the modern infrastructure and latest technology being adopted byAmity University.
