Delegation from Republic of Angola visits Amity University

A seven member’s delegation from Republic of Angola visited Amity University to discuss the possibility of potential collaboration.
The delegation was led by His Excellency Mr. Antonio Miguel Andre, Secretary of State for Higher Education who was accompanied by Mr. Claudio Azevedo, Directorof Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Higher Education; Mr. Victor Silva, Consultant at the office of the sec of state for Higher Education; Mrs Manuela Pinto, Deputy Director of INAGBE) – [akin to ICCR – Indian Council for Cultural Relations;Mr. Joaquim Filipe Ganga, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy; Mr. José António Santos, 1st Secretary andMr. José Evaristo , 1st Secretary.
They were welcomed by Mr. R M Aggarwal, Additional Director General, Amity Centre for International Corporate and Alliances and Wg Cdr S K Goel, Deputy Director,International Affairs Division.
Welcoming the guests, Wg Cdr S K Goel briefed them about the history, faculty strength and achievements of Amity University. He further added that the proposed collaboration with Republic of Angola will focus on providing education to Angolan students who want to explore educational opportunities in India.
Addressing the gathering, His Excellency Mr. Antonio Miguel Andre applauded the infrastructure, facilities and faculty of Amity University. He shared that the delegation is trying to explore the opportunities for Angolan students to enroll in under-graduate programmes at Amity University. His Excellency Mr. Miguel further added that they are also seeking cooperation from Amity to develop certain programmes considering the need and knowledge expansion of students from Angola. He expressed his desire for a long lasting and mutually benefiting collaboration.
During the discussion, members of the delegation raised pertinent questions regarding the admission procedure for various courses at Amity University and Scholarship Programmes for foreign students which were efficiently addressed by the senior officials of Amity University.
During the visit, the delegation took a round of the Campus visiting Amity University Online Department, Amity Innovation Incubator, Central Library and Laboratories.
