Hindi Diwas celebrated at Amity University

Amity Law School organizedAbhivyakti 2014 to mark the celebration of Hindi Diwas at Amity campus, Sector125. The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr Shyam Rudra Pathak, HindiActivist. Prof. S. K. Singh; Dean Faculty of Law, Major General Nilendra Kumar;Director ALSN, Faculty members and students of the institute participated inthe event.

Therewere four competitions in the event viz. Essay Writing, quiz, speech and poetry recitation. The participantsdisplayed an amazing proficiency at literary skills in the language. Mr Pathakwas particularly impressed with the skill of the poets who took part in theevent.

Theemphasis of the entire event was to bring home the message that Hindi is notactually a divisive force, but could very easily be a symbol of national unity.It can drive our nation on a path of all-round growth and development. Thepoetry competition was particularly enjoyed by the students, faculty and guestsalike. Chief Guest Mr. Pathak, Prof. S K Singh and Dr. S K Pandey presentedtheir compositions.

Speakingon the occasion Major General NilendraKumar stressed the need of simplification of Hindi to make it popular andwidespread. He appreciated the enthusiasm of the participants who gave qualitypresentations on the occasion.

Prof. S K Singhin his address mentioned that it is obvious from the speeches of participantsthat Hindi is broadening its base in India and world. In his concludingmessage

Chief Guest Mr. ShyamRudra Pathak explained that no country of theworld has developed using a foreign language. He gave data of several countriesof the world that top in per capita income, GDP and other parameters ofdevelopment.  He called upon students towork for upgrade of the status of the Hindi language, which of late has degradedto very low point, owing to some misconceptions imported from foreign cultures.He established Hindi as a uniting force capable to lead our country on todevelopment and success. The function ended with the singing of NationalAnthem.
