Amity School of Distance Learning organises 21st Bi- annual Meet
“ There is no age limit for what one wants to achieve in his/her life. Distance learning is no more a poor cousin of regular education. It helps one to brush up his/ her skils at the same time providing ample time to focus on the roles and responsibilities entailed by a job profile”, were some of the conviction laden words of Mr. P K Mishra- ADG, BSF during Amity School of Distance Learning 21st Bi- annual Meet at Amity Campus, Sector-44, Noida. Sharing how he immensely benefited after doing MBA from ASODL, Mr. PK Mishra said that he has over 2.5 lakh soldiers under him and people management forms the core of his profile. Though he had been doing Logistics, HR, System Analysis on a regular basis but MBA degree provided him in- depth knowledge of “ why” behind every task. Mr. Mishra also proposed to specially organize a trip to “ Wagah” or any other border for the students of Amity School of Distance Learning.
Welcoming the new entrants, Maj. Gen. (Dr.) Surendar Kumar- Executive Vice President, RBEF and Chairman, Amity School of Distance Learning (ASODL)implored them to have faith in themselves and never be a quitter in their lives whether its job or education since quitters will be caught one day. He stressed that there is no age limit for education and in today’s competitive environment one should incessantly upgrade himself/herself. He wished happy learning to all the new entrants and wished them luck in all their future endeavors.
Sharing his views with the new entrants, Dr. Harsh Vinayak- Sr. Vice President, Keane India Ltd said that India is shinning because of its education system, which is reckoned worldwide. He expressed his hope that all the new entrants, with the gradual chiseling during the programme, will be transformed into future leaders of India. “ Opportunities are there, all you have to do is build your capacity”, averred Dr. Vinayak.
Mr. Abhinash Kumar- Dy. Director, ASODL provided a brief outline about the programmes provided by ASODL and familiarized the new students with teaching methodology, course curriculum and projects to be undertaken during the course.
The students were introduced to the culture and traditions at Amity. The function saw extensive interaction between the students and the management.
