Amity International School Mayur Vihar organises National Environment awareness campaign
CLIMATE CHANGE AND USES OF SOLAR ENERGY’ is an issue of global concern in today’s world. It needs us to ponder over the ways to protect and conserve it. Carrying forward this tradition Amity Humanity Foundation raised the National Environment awareness campaign on 1st February 2010 at Amity International School, Mayur Vihar. The Chairperson, Amity Schools, Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan applauded the great initiative undertaken by the young Amitians to save Mother Earth and rekindle hope to see a greener earth in the near future.
The programme commenced with the welcome address by the school Principal Mrs. Sarita Aggarwal, Major Gen. (Dr.) Surender Kumar, Vice President, Amity Humanity Foundation and Mr. V.K.Jain, Director, Amity Institute of Advance Research and Studies graced the occasion and apprised the students of ways to curb exploitation of the environment and use renewable sources of energy judiciously. The programme comprised of a power-point presentation by the students, painting competition, slogan writing competition. Dr. Chanda Rani Akhouri, Officiating Director - Amity Humanity Foundation organized an educational visit of the students to the Organic farm at Amity University Campus.
