Amity Institute of Nanotechnology organises Techno- Cultural Fest “Genesis 2010

The budding scientists of Amity Institute of Nanotechnology kick started their first Techno- Cultural Fest “Genesis 2010 ” at Amity Campus, Sector-125, Noida

The Fest was inaugurated by Dr. Balvinder Shukla- Pro VC (A), Amity University, Uttar Pradesh and DG, Amity School of Engineering who stressed that in order to make students true professionals a mix of classroom teaching and hands on experience is very important. The Fests are an amalgamation of cultural events as well as academic events which provide students an opportunity to rub shoulders with doyens of industry and showcase their talent and skil. Motivating the students, she further said, “nothing will come easy in your life. You have to face hardships but that should not deter you from aiming high in your lives.”

Dr. R P Singh- Director, Amity Institute of Nanotechnology (AINT)congratulated the students to take the lead and wished the fest a big success.

The inauguration was followed by a workshop on “Introduction to Nanotechnology” in which the esteemed faculty of AINT on the nuances of the amazing world of Nanotechnology and its immense real world applications. The presentations during the seminar were introductory in nature and gave the listeners a sneak peak into the myriad possibilities of Nanotechnology.

The technical, cultural and competitive events that unfolded during the day long fest included “ Research Paper Presentation” in which selected research papers in the field of science and technology were presented, “Poster Presentation” under which posters displaying research work in the field of nanoscience along with some innovative ideas for the nanotech industry were displayed, “ Spellathon” under which the students were required to go beyond what they have learnt and spell some difficult words with rapid fire responses, “Talent Show” and “ LAN Gaming”.
