Amity signs MoU with University of Massachusetts , USA
It was a momentous day for Amity when MoU was signed with University of Massachusetts during a ceremony held at Amity University Campus, Sector 125,Noida. The MoU was signed by Dr. Gurinder Singh, Amity Group Additional Vice Chancellor and Prof. Dr Supriya Chakrabarti , Associate Dean for Research &Graduate Studies, College of Science, University of Massachusetts.
The Memorandum focuses on various areas such as Joint research projects and publications, Exchange programs, faculty and students exchanges, placement of the students Paid internship, Joint Conferences and Workshops; Online Programs and visit of faculty, professional staff and students.
Prof.Dr Supriya Chakrabarti briefed audience about the key research areas of University of Massachusetts. He also briefed about various research projects handled by his university including Full wave form, dual wave length Imaging Lidar, White Sands Missile etc. He further added that there are many places where students can get hands on experience working on cutting experimental projects therefore, through this MoU Amity & University of Massachusetts can make fundamental contribution in a number of areas.
Addressing the gathering Dr. Gurinder Singh, Amity Group Additional Vice Chancellor, expressed his pleasure in signing the MoU between University of Massachusetts one of the world’s leading university and stressed that the association will be fruitful for India as well as the world. He further expressed his hope to initiate a deep and sustainable cooperation between Amity and university of Massachusetts 2015, USA in future. During the event Prof. Dr Supriya Chakrabarti was bestowed upon Honorary Professorship.
Prof.Dr Supriya Chakrabarti was taken for a round of the campus and visited laboratories and central library of Amity.
