Welcoming the august gathering, Dr. (Mrs.) B Shukla- Vice Chancellor, Amity Universitysaid that it’s a proud privilege for Amity to host distinguished delegates fromvarious countries during such a prestigious Conference. She remarked thatInternational Conferences help students to become abreast with global businesstrends through the discussions and deliberations of domain experts. She sharedthat today’s business environment has become very volatile and dynamic;globalization has brought organizations across the globe on same platform,creating fierce competition amongst them. There is cut throat competitionwithin and without organization which makes it important for students to keeplearning from industry experts and doyens who are real practitioners ofbusiness.
Addressing the gathering, Prof.(Dr.) Vinayshil Gautam- First Head,Management Department, IIT-D and Founder ,IIM-K said that every profession has unique set of challengesand there is no standard solutions to them. He stressed that a person needs tobe innovative and flexible to deal with those ever-occurring challenges. Heshared that the Government and Educational Institutes are contributingimmensely in nurturing skill sets amongst the youth of the country but when ayouth receives an interview call , his family members and friends asks him ifhe already knows anybody in that organization, undermining his talent andcapability. He averred that the youth of the country need to believe in themand in the efficacy of their talent, capabilities and skill set.
Prof. (Dr.) Kuldeep Kumar- Department ofEconomics and Statistics, Faculty of Business, Bond University, Australia, while addressing thestudents, said that today’s business has undergone a drastic change with theadvent of technology and penetration of Internet. Today, Business has expandedto include E-tailing, E- Commerce, M- Commerce and Digital Commerce. Finance,Management and Sales are being influenced by Big Data and Data Analysis. Heinformed that in Bond University, every student has to study communicationskills, ethical skills, IT skills and leadership skills irrespective of theprogramme he/she is persuing. He remarked that the global changes are posinggreat challenges to the students of management; therefore, it is very importantfor Institutions to incorporate contemporary trends in the curriculum whichwould ensure global employability of the students.?
