Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani -Hon’ble Minister of Human Resource Development,Government of India and Dr. Ashok K Chauhan- Founder President, Amity Group inaugurate “Knowledge Expo – Infinite Possibilities” at Greater Noida
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Deptt. of Science & Technology, Ministry of HRD, AICTE has organized a two day “Knowledge Expo – Infinite Possibilities” from November 20- 21, 2014. The event is being supported by Amity University.

Addressing the gathering, Union HRD minister Smriti Zubin Irani said her ministry was launching a drive to encourage students to "Think in India". Talking about the Campaign, she said that the Campaign would encourage students and researchers to come up with new ideas and continuously innovate and stay in India. She shared that the Campaign aims to work in tandem with industry and Ministers could come up with ideas as to how these indigenous innovations could be funded and rewarded within our own country so that the faculty, students and researchers of India don't have to go abroad for funding their research.
The inaugural session was followed by Panel Discussion on “India’s Transition to a Design-driven Nation” wherein Mr. Navroze Godrej -Member, Board of Directors Godrej & Boyce; Mr. Udayant Malhoutra- Chairman, CII National Committee on Design and Managing Director, Dynamatic Technologies Limited and Prof. Pradyumna Vyas Director, National Institute of Design shared their views on how during the last decade, design has earned respect of business leaders around the globe including India . The learned speakers outlined “What does design mean to them?; what actions, ideas and competencies are required to deliver Design excellence?” .
The session envisaged to learn from the CEO’s the Design Leadership—as Design is used to solve big problems and Design Execution—the ultimate payoff of Design Excellence.
The Panel discussion was followed by “Leaders Talk” wherein trailblazers such as Mr. Nitin Sisodia- Co-Founder, Sohum Innovation Lab and Stanford India Bio-Design Fellow; Mr. Gus Desbarats- Founder Chairman The Alloy, UK & Chairman of British Design Innovation and Prof. Ravi Prakash Professor & Director ,Amity School of Engineering & Technology (ASET) expressed their views.
