Dr. Chaubey remarked thatincidentally, there is a difference between leaders and leadership; there aretoo many leaders still there is a dearth of leadership in the country.Leadership is process and system oriented where leader is also part of the teamand team gets the praise for success and blame for failure and not any singleindividual. Talking about the high attrition rates in Indianindustry, Dr. Chaubey said that youngsters join companies to enhance their ownprofessional competence. The average time of an employee to stay in a softwarecompany is just 18 months; the only way to retain them is by continuousmotivation by leaders in the organization.
