Hungarian Folk Dance Performance enthralls Amity University

Hungarian Information and Cultural Centreorganized a Cultural Programme at Amity University, Sector 125, Noida topromote their country, its traditions and cultural richness.

CsillagszemekDance Ensemble, famous Hungarian dance group comprising of 17 members,presented mesmerizing folk dance and music performances.

Welcoming theguests, Prof. Marshal Sahni, DeanStudents’ Welfare said that Amity is a melting pot of all cultures andstrongly believe in providing global exposure to our students in the form offood, culture and lifestyle exchange. He applauded the colorful performance byHungarian Artists which he said, provides an insight into Hungarian dance andculture.

Ms. Ousulaya Kovacs, Wife of Directorof Hungarian Information and Culture Centre informed that the dance troupe hasbeen performing from last 12 years and has been taking part in at importantdance-art events and festivals worldwide to promote the Hungarian Culture. Shefurther added that the ensemble was awarded in 1998 with the Hungarian heritageprize and in 2002; they performed for the emperor and empress of Japan at theCastle Museum of Esztergom. Ms. Kovacs called upon the gathering to visitHungary and experience the rich traditions and ethnicity of the nation.

The troupe, engagedin revival of the folk culture of Hungary, captivated the audience with theirspirited performances.
