Amity Institute of Education celebrates Hindi Pakhwara Diwas
Amity Institute of Education , AUUP organized a daylong celebration on the occasion of Hindi Pakhwara on September 15, 2014. .The ‘ Hindi Divas’ celebration radiated the synergy of the enthusiastic students and faculty members of Amity University.
There was a string of events organized by the students ranging from dramatic representation of famous stories by Hindi literary persons like Premchand, Kalidas, Bhartendu Harishchandra , recital of the works of renowned poets such as Subhadra Kumari Chauhan , Maithelisharan Gupt,Mahadevi Verma, Rabindranatha Tagore , Surdas and others. The creative and innovative use of Hindi language was displayed through Amir Khusro’s ‘paheliyan’ , ‘Antakshari’ based on the dohas of Kabir and Rahim.
The event was interspersed with funfilled games and competitions such as Prashnottari, Bujho to jane, Shrutlekh, Ek Minute , poster making and others which kept the audience involved . The event received an overwhelming response with performances from various Institutes of Amity University such as AIES,AIPS,AIFT,ASCO,ASAP,ASET,AIBHAS,ABS,AICC,ASE,AIESR.Over 200 students from various institutions of Amity University participated in the event.
The presentations covered a vast span from ancient Hindi literary works by Surdas till the recent works of Ram Naresh Tripathi.
All these activities exposed the participants as well as the audience to the various beautiful and creative aspects of our Language, Hindi. The atmosphere reverberated with the proud and conscious use of Hindi by all those present in the Hall. It was a historic movement for Amity Institute of Education , AUUP , which organized this event under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Ranjana Bhatia, Mentor , AIE,AUUP . In her inspiring speech, she entreated the audience to take pride in the use of Hindi, as it is a language symbolic of the unity of our country. She appreciated the efforts put in by the students and faculty in organizing the event with such thought and perseverance.
Dr Alka Muddgal , Offg Head of Institute, AIE also commended the efforts of the organizers and called upon all the participants and audience to give due regard to Hindi and to be proud users of this language to further strengthen the unity of our country as it also serves as a link language of our country.
