In his presentation he suggested that a reflective teacher must essentially introspect and this introspection should gradually form a reflective cycle. This reflective cycle should pin point the reflection variables and on the basis of these variables, action plan has to be drawn. While talking about the role of a teacher, he narrated some good qualities expected of teachers and also gave some suggestions for them. Dr. Selvamurthy talked about the professional attitude of teachers and concluded his presentation by giving some tips on managing stress and igniting interest in the young minds towards learning.
Prof. M.C. Sharma, Director, School of Education, IGNOU, concluded the session by endorsing the views of the earlier speakers and reinforcing the need of reflection while preparing teachers in teacher training programme.
