Amity Alumni cherish their old memories during “Smriti Sangam ”, the first Alumni Re-Union of Amity Business School
Amity Business School organized its first Alumni Re-Union “Smriti Sangam – A Home Coming” at University Campus,Sector- 125, Noida which was attended by hundreds of alumni from 1997 Batch-2007 Batch.
The Alumni, with great excitement and enthusiasm, re-visited the Campus along with their spouses, children and parents to meet their teachers, friends and mentors. Their faces beamed with joy, cherishing the old college memories.
The alumni, after their registrations, were taken around the Campus and were shown the vast expanse of the Campus which took them down the memory lane, revisiting the old days of college and studies.
Addressing the alumni, Mr. Atul Chauhan- Chancellor, Amity University became full of emotions and recollected the days when Amity Business School started with 4 floors and over 10 faculty members in Amity Campus, Sector-44, Noida. He stressed that although, now, Amity Business School has grown enormously during the past few years but the strong Amity bonding still exists amongst students, faculty and staff. Mr. Chauhan reminded them of the great responsibility that lies on their shoulders as brand Ambassadors of Amity- the responsibility of strengthening and taking forward the name of “Amity” as a brand which is reckoned every wherein industry. Sharing his desire, Mr. Atul Chauhan shared that he wants Amity students to be welcomed with open arms in the industry and should be praised for their caliber, skill set, sanskaars and values. Mr. Chauhan shared various achievements of Amity and its faculty members which has brought laurels to the entire Amity family and nation including the filing of over 500 patents in last few years by the scientists and researchers of Amity.
During the occasion, the most popular alumni from every batch were awarded “Special Awards”. Mr. Vikas Gandhi received the Award from 1998 Batch, Ms. Shikha Vats from 1999 Batch, Mr. Nitin Aggarwal from 2001 Batch, Ms. Manu Sharma from 2002 Batch and others.
Alumni shared their memories with the audience, dwelling on the privileges they enjoyed in terms of infrastructure and other facilities, productive hours spent in Corporate Resource Centre discussing about how to organize events, bring sponsorships from Corporate and how to market themselves and Amity Brand in the industry. All of them,unanimously owe their success to Amity, its teachers, faculty members and mentors.
The alumni, who themselves have attained great heights in their career, mentored their Alma matter as to how they should groom themselves in order to become industry ready and commence their journey with corporate world.
Also present during the occasion were Dr. (Mrs.) Balvinder Shukla- Acting Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Sanjeev Bansal- Head, Amity Business School and other senior officials from Amity University.
The students of Amity Business School presented a colorful cultural mélange comprising of Dance, Music etc, regaling the audience.
