Delegation from University of Nebraska, Omaha, USA visits Amity University
Two member delegation from University of Nebraska, Omaha, USA visited Amity University to mull over the potential areas of collaboration. The delegation members were Dr. Louis Pol, Dean of College of Business Administration and Dr. Phani Tej Adidam, Executive Management Education Professor, Chair-Department of Marketing and Management
The delegation was received by Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Dean – Faculty of Management Studies, Amity University; Shri K.S. Bains, Advisor – Amity Institute of Training & Development, Maj. Gen Ashok Krishna, AICISM and Maj Gen R.K. Dhawan, Advisor – International Affairs Department, Amity.
Dr. Louis Pol, Dean of College of Business Administration (CBA) said that CBA is part of University of Nebraska, Omaha and around 15,500 students are studying in different Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses. Dr. Pol said that CBA is offering MBA, Executive MBA, Master of Accounting, Master of Economics, MBA/MSc in Management Information System etc. Dr. Pol added that priorities of their college are to emphasis on community partnerships, connections to Art & creativity, celebrating student & alumni achievements. Dr. Pol said that they are looking for global partnerships so as to bring intellectual diversity to the college, assist global partners in program and curriculum development, create opportunities for joint faculty research, prepare students to work in global business environment and adding to the economic development of Omaha.
Dr. Phani Tej Adidam said that University of Nebraska also have Aviation Institute which focuses on management of airport operations, infrastructure and airport management. They are offering 4 year graduate program. Dr. Adidam said that they are looking for student and faculty exchange for Management and Aviation Institute.
Delegation members also met with Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Acting Vice Chancellor, Amity University.
Delegation also visited Amity Innovation Incubator, Amity University Online.
Dr Sanjeev Bansal, Director, Amity Business School, Dr Arun Sacchar, Addl Dir, Dr Arun Sacchar, Addl Director, Amity International Business School, Dr Himanshu Mohan, Director, Amity School of Business, Prof. Mamta Mohan, Dy. Director & Head – Amity Institute of Competitive Intelligence & Strategic Management were present during the occasion.
