Major General Nilendra Kumar, Director Amity Law School, AUUP was invited by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Science & Technology, Environment & Forests to make a presentation on “The Civil Liability for Nuclear Damages Bill, 2010 on 3rd August, 2010. The one hour presentation took place at the Parliament House Annexe before 31 member committee headed by Dr. T. Subbarami Reddy, MP.
The above Bill has generated considerable discussions in the wake of recent Media and Human Rights comments on the inadequacy of compensation granted to the victims of Union Carbide Bhopal disaster.
