High level delegation from Finland Universities and Finland Education Ministry visit Amity University to join hands in certain selected vistas of education
A delegation comprising of Dean’s of reputed universities of Finland and Finland Education Ministry visited Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, Sector-125, Noida campus. The purpose of the visit was to promote institutional goals, to establish ties of friendship and cooperation for promoting mutual understanding and to promote cooperation in the educational areas.
The delegation led by Dr. Juhani Neimenen, Vice President, Lahti University of Applied Science along with Ms. Elina Martin, Dean, Vaasa University of Applied Sciences, Ms. Elishabeth Malka, Rector, Vaasa University of Applied Sciences, Eltvik Lars, Marketing Director, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Harri Mikkonen, Director, North Karelia University of Applied Sciences, Mr. Kaija Saramaki, Programme Director, North Karelia University of Applied Sciences, Risto Llomaki, Mervi Vidgren, Vice Rector, Savonia University of Applied Sciences, Maija Suhonen, representatives of Jyvaskyla University of Applied Sciences and Pirkanmaa University of Applied Sciences delibered on the potential areas of establishing a strong bond between the universities of both the countries and to conduct International Conferences, seminars and symposia, discussions workshops in fields like Business and Management, Science and Technology, Arts and Culture, Joint Research activities, Exchange of Research Scientists and Scholars, Supervision and Guidance on dissertations and theses, Exchange of students, Joint Projects, Joint Publications, Identify funding agencies to fund joint research projects, Explorations for innovations in International Education, Research and Consulting, Developing Joint Programs and Management Development Programs. The delegation interacted with the institutional heads of Amity University so that their visit becomes fruitful for both the countries.
Dr. Juhani Neimenen, Vice President, Lahti University of Applied Sciences appraised the gathering about his university and laid stress on research areas which could be mutually beneficial for both the countries. He also added that they are looking for foreign partnership and appreciated courses like Hospitality, Travel and Tourism, Applied Sciences, Communication, etc. He called upon identifying the right areas of operation with respective universities and utilize the assets to the maximum. To strengthen the bond he laid stress on good human cooperation, capabilities and mutual understandings which will work for a better future.
The delegation met hon’ble Vice Chancellor Major General K.J. Singh, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Balwinder Shukla, Pro Vice Chancellor (Academics), Amity University, Uttar Pradesh and Dr. R.P. Singh, Director, Amity Institute of Nanotechnology along with the senior officials to discuss the areas of exchange programs in education.
