Mr. Richard Kjeldgaard delivers lecture at Amity Institute of Pharmacy
Mr. Richard Kjeldgaard, Deputy Vice President, International Division, Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturer of America (PhRMA) PhRMA, representing about 200 leading research based pharmaceutical companies in the US and Europe, including Pfizer, Merck, BMS, Sanofi-aventis etc visited Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University Uttar Pradesh on 22 April, 2010 and delivered a lecture on “Intellectual Property Rights” as part of World Intellectual Property Day Celebrations.
Mr. Kjelgaard had an interactive session with students & faculty members of AIP to discuss its importance of IPRs in the pharmaceutical sector, clearing doubts on finer details of various major patenting issues and for creating better understanding of IPRs in general with special reference to international perspective in the pharmaceutical areas.
Dr. D. P. Attrey, Director, AIP and Dr. Deepshikha Pande Katare, Asst. Director, AIP presented token of gratitude to Mr. Kjelgaard.
Ms. Manisha Singh, Senior Associate, Corporate Law Group of ASSOCHAM was also present on this occasion. Directors of various institutions of AUUP, along with their faculty members and students were also present during the lecture
