Students of Amity Law School Noida visits Dasna based Ghaziabad District Jail as part of Human Values drive together with the Legal Aid Program
28 students and accompanied by one faculty of Amity Law School, Noida visited Dasna based Ghaziabad District Jail on 19 March, 2013. The visit was undertaken as part of Human Values drive together with the Legal Aid Program. The students staged a skit for the women convicts followed by a written program performed by the inmates. Prizes were distributed to them for their performances. The children of women inmates were separately kept engaged in the different programs planned for them. The students distributed clothes and toys to them.
It was followed by interactive session wherein students were briefed by Mr. Rajesh Jha, the head of the in-house Legal Cell. He handed over a list of specific matters where the under trials and convicts require legal advice. The same is proposed to be arranged for them in the assured time frame.
