Prof. William Zhu, Minjiang Chair Professor, Director, Key Lab of Granular Computing, Zhangzhou Normal University, China delivers lecture on "ROUGH SETS AND MATROIDS” at Amity University
Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Amity School of Engineering & Technology organized an Expert Lecture Session by eminent Professor William Zhu, Director, Key Lab of Granular Computing, Zhangzhou Normal University, China on 30 January 2013 at Amity University, Noida. The topic of the lecture was “ROUGH SETS AND MATROIDS” which was attended by faculty members and students of B.Tech and M.Tech.
The welcome address was given by Dr. Abhay Bansal, Head of the Department, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Amity School of Engineering and Technology, AUUP.
The lecture covered definition, basic concepts of rough sets and matroids, their applications in data mining and other research perspectives. The lecture was engaging and interesting.
The lecture concluded with discussions about the research collaborations with the Professor.
