Amity University and Rotary Club of Delhi City organises blood donation camp

Blood donation is one of the noblest causes which people of all ages should understand as early as possible. There are deaths of hundreds and thousands of people every year due to lack of availability of blood on time. To make the students aware of the necessity of blood and to inculcate good human values Amity University organised blood donation camp in association with Rotary Club of Delhi City at Amity University Campus, Sector-125 Noida. The blood donation camp witnessed overwhelming donation of blood by Amity University students and faculties. The purpose of the camp was noble and it was a great success.

Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Amity Institute of Aerospace Engineering, Amity School of Business, Amity School of Communication and Amity Institute of Fashion Technology of Amity University helped in organizing the blood donation camp.

The eminent persons present on the occasion are Rotarian Vijay Ghelani, President of Rotary Club, Delhi, Ms. Sonu Singh, Manager Motivational and Camp Organizer, Tughlakabad, Delhi, Major General K. Jai Singh, Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh and Dr.(Mrs) Balvinder Shukla, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Academic, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh.

Major General K. Jai Singh, Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh while addressing the gathering expressed his joy on seeing the enthusiasm amongst the students to donate blood. He said that there is always demand for blood. It is studied that nearly sixty percent of our total population are in a state to donate blood. In spite of it very small part comes forward for the noble cause of blood donation. He also conveyed that he is looking forward for more such kind of blood donation camp in future.

Dr. (Mrs.) Balwinder Shukla, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Academic, Amity University, Noida said that by organizing such blood donation camps we inspire our students to donate blood at least once a year. This would not only cultivate the feelings of helping the needy at the time of distress but the students would also come forward for charity.
