UROOJ’ 2010, the Annual Techno-Cultural-Socio-Literary Youth Festival of Amity Institute of Biotechnology

UROOJ ’10 the Annual Techno-Cultural-Socio-Literary Youth Festival of Amity Institute of Biotechnology was inaugurated by Dr. Mahesh Prakash Bansal, former Director of Education, Lakswadeep, currently Director General, Bansal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Meerut, Mr. M.L. Soni, Under Secretary, National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and Dr. A.K. Srivastava, Director, Amity Institute of Biotechnology.

The theme of UROOJ’10 is “Celebration of Youth Liberalisation”, keeping its tradition of upholding a social theme alive. Amity University is also launching for the first time AIDS Awareness Programme in association with the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), Government of India.

The ceremony started with lightening of the traditional lamp by the distinguished guests. That was followed by inter institute debate competition. The topic of debate was “Youth Rights through Youth Advocacy”. The debaters of both the motion spoke at length about the Rights that the Constitution of our country has imparted and its advocacy by the youth of today’s generation.

During the day the events that took place are Treasure Hunt, Landscape Painting, Servers Down and Business Plan in the festival.
