Students awarded with Scholarships worth crores at Amity University

Amity University organized its scholarship award ceremony to award the meritorious students from different institutions of Amity in its Noida campus.

The scholarships were awarded by Mr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Maj. Gen K. Jai Singh, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Pro VC, (Academics), Amity University Uttar Pradesh and Dr. Gurinder Singh, Pro VC (I), Amity University Uttar Pradesh.

Mr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh while congratulating the awardees said “All the students present in the function are stars and make us feel proud. This is the vision of our Founder President to motivate young people to come forward to Amity University and he also says that the more one bows down in life the more one becomes successful in life.” He added that the students are to attribute their success to those who made them successful, that is, their parents, teacher and the organization.

Maj Gen K. Jai Singh, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh said, “Getting award is the dream of every parent. Amity encourages the merit of a child by giving scholarships and awards. Our Founder President dreamt of creating a education system which would be the best in the world. The amount of facilities we offer ought to be helpful to the students if they utilize their time fruitfully during their academic period in the university. It would add great value to their future.”

Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Pro.VC, (A), Amity University Uttar Pradesh while addressing the gathering said that the scholarship is a part and parcel of Amity’s growth. Our Founder President propagate that no students should be deprived of education and to recognize the meritorious students.

The scholarships were divided in three categories -Merit-cum-Means Scholarships sponsored by Amir Chand Drpadi Devi Memorial Charitble Trust, Merit-cum-Means Scholarships and on Admission Scholarship. Shri Jagmohan, former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir has donated Rs One lakh from Amir Chand Drpadi Devi Memorial Charitble Trust as per the cherished objective of the trust. Four students were benefited by Merit-cum-Means Scholarships by Amir Chand Drpadi Devi Memorial Charitble Trust. Over 47 students were benefited by Merit-cum-Means Scholarships and 229 students received on Admission Scholarship.

The under graduate and post graduate students who did exceptionally well in their 10+2 were also given due recognition in the form of 100% and 50% scholarships on the basis of their results.

The maximum scholarships were awarded to the department of Amity Institute of Biotechnology with fifty four students and one hundred and twenty one students from Amity School of Engineering and Technology received scholarships under Merit Scholarships category. Merit-cum-Means Scholarships were awarded to forty seven students.

Proud father of Ditisha Pandey who received 100% scholarship thanking the university for awarding scholarship said that the university is offering great motivation and encouragement. The university compels the students to do well.

Father of Megha Gupta B.Tech. Bio Tech student said, “Earlier my daughter was introvert and a shy person. But I can see that the personality of my daughter has been totally transformed now and I thank Amity for grooming her up so well. He also said that punishments to students are given not to hurt them but to correct and inspire them to do well in life.

Prasant Kumar a student of Amity Institute of Telecom Technology and Management after receiving the scholarship said that he gives importance to 3G’s in life which are gratitude, gratefulness and goodwill. It was his finest and proudest moment of life which he will cherish forever.

Aveek Dutta, Amity Institute of Information Technology said that he was an average student due to the guidance and care of the fellow students he received the recognition. He got good exposure and made a lot of contacts in the university which will help him to make his future bright and successful.
