Concluding Ceremony of Certificate Course in Business Management for PBORs being held at Amity University

Six Months Business Management Certificate Course for Defence Forces sponsored by DGR and conducted by Amity Institute of Education & Training for Defence Forces & Police Forces concludes at Amity University on January 02, 2010.

This course is called as transitional course or second career course for Defence Personnels. Main aim of this program is to enable ex-serviceman to start thier career in any good organisation.

The course is being sponsored by the Directorate General Resettlement and the course prepares the officers for their second innings after retirement and is very popular amongst the Officers as it prepares them for the numerous opportunities available in the corporate world.

Gp Capt R Venkataramanan, Director Training, Directorate General of Resettlement, the Guest of Honour motivated the participants to make the best of their time at Amity. Gp Capt R Venkataramanan said that current strength of Amity in the many streams available at the campus will broaden the horizon and provide techniques in bracing up to the challenges in the corporate world. The service of the Defence Personnel who retire early are in great demand in the industry due to their rich and varied experience.

Expressing his admiration and gratitude to the Defence Personnel, Maj Gen K.J. Singh, Vice Chancellor, Amity University felt that defence personnel make immense sacrifices for the service of the country and when they retire at a young age of 35-45 years, they need second career option to rely upon. All they need is a certification of the knowledge which Amity, by offering various career transition courses, will facilitate.

Maj. Gen Subhash Bindra, Director, Amity Institute of Education & Training said that the course is basically on management studies which is specially designed for defence personnels. The course comprises of basic computer knowledge, personality development, communications skils along with management studies.
