“PATW- 2011” Competitions on Delhi Networks at Amity School of Engineering and Technology

Amity School of Engineering and Technology in association with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), UK organized PATW – Present around the World Competitions on Delhi Network Finals 2011 at the Amity Campus, Sector – 125, Noida.

PATW aims at providing a platform to science, technology and engineering students to join hands globally and become part of the professional elite through multiple competitions at regional, national and international levels. The participants are judged by their presentation as well as the professional sklls. The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), UK is a collaboration of the brightest and the best thinkers in India and the world. It is an organization which shares information to enable engineering and technology professionals to set the agenda for change. The IET is committed to making science, engineering and technology as accessible as possible.

Inaugurating the competition, Mr. V.K. Gupta, Honorary Secretary, IET, Delhi Networks, informed the students that the competition held every year has rigorous screening processes. Therefore, thorough preparation on the part of the students is essential.

Mr. Ramesh Negi, Chairman, Young Professional Section, Dean Student Activities, IET urged the students to improve their presentation sklls as the competition demands good presentation sklls as well as technical knowledge on the topic of their presentation.

Welcoming and addressing the august gathering, Dr. B. Shukla, Pro-VC (A), Amity University Uttar Pradesh, said, “we extend our help and support to promote the youth in the IT sector. That is why, we are joining hands with IET for the Northern Region of India. Competition is the first step to bring excellence in self which helps the students to enhance their career and move ahead in the respective fields. The most important thing is participation in such competition as it helps the students in networking and making friends at the regional, national and global level.”

The jury members for judging the students in the concurrent presentation sessions were Mr. R.K. Singh, Joint Director, Asian School of Media Studies, Noida, Mr. Subodh Mohanty, Senoir Scientist, Vigyan Prasar, Ms. Shakat Bhatt, Doordarshan News, Dr. Satyendra Bajaj, Joint Director, National Institute of Child Development, Mr. Rakesh Mishra, Project Manager, Indian Oil Coorporation Ltd and Sanjay Gupta, Hughes Pvt. Ltd

41 Engineering Colleges from Northern Region of India participated which are: IIT Delhi, Aligarh Muslim University, ITS Engineering College, (Greater Noida), OIST (Jabalpur), REC (Bhopal), LNCT (Bhopal), SIRI (Bhopal), BIUT (Bhopal), RITS (Bhopal), SIRT (Bhopal), OIST (Bhopal), IEC (Greater Noida), SCRIET (Meerut), IET (Alwar), SBSPGI (Deradum), KIET (Ghaziabad), RKGITW (Ghaziabad), GB University and MMM Engineering College (Gorakhan)
