Amity International School, Mayur Vihar organises Orientation program for class-I
An orientation program for class-I was organized by Amity International School, Mayur Vihar on 29th March,2011. Mrs. Sarita Aggarwal, Principal, AIS Mayur Vihar welcomed the parents warmly. The program started on an auspicious note, with the lighting of the lamp amidst chanting of shlokas.
The program was anchored by the tiny tots of class-II. After the traditional welcome, the students of previous years class-I took over and mesmerized the audience with a beautiful song and a foot tapping dance on lord Ganesha. The enthralled parents gave a loud round of applause in appreciation.
The purpose of the program was to apprise the parents with various curricular and co-curricular activities of class-I. The Vice-principal Rashmi Sharma with the help of a PPT presentation, briefed the parents about the almanac, evaluation, academics and amitranet package.
The resource person, Dr.Kanika Khandelwal, HOD Psychology (Lady Sriram College) gave a thought provoking speech, talking on issues of parenting and tried to solve the basic problems that parents encountered, during the question-answer session that followed.
Honourable Chairperson, Dr.(Mrs) Amita Chauhan graced the occasion and pacified anxieties of the parents with her assuring words. They all appreciated the initiative and efforts taken by the school to mould their little ones into responsible citizens of tomorrow.
