Students of AITTM visited Sri Satya Sai Centre for Donation Of Old Clothes as a part of Human Values Quarter

Students of AITTM along with the faculty members went to Sri Satya Sai Centre and donated the clothes that had been collected from all the students & faculty members of AITTM under an initiative “Be a Hero”.

“A hero is somebody who is selfless, who is generous in spirit, who just tries to give back as much as possible and help people. A hero is someone who saves people and who really deeply cares”

The “Be a Hero” initiative was started by AITTM in the first week of February itself. As a social responsibility, every student of AITTM made it a point to get at least a t-shirt or a pair of jeans as it might be of more value to someone than just being a waste material at their place. A huge number of clothes were collected.

AITTM went to Sri Satya Sai Centre and interacted with the people there. It was very motivating to see doctors giving free medical treatment to poor people.

The students helped packing the contributed clothes in separate uniform bags so that they could be conveniently distributed later.

A few bags were donated to some of the poor people who had come for the check-up. While the students were donating, they could see the happiness in their eyes. That happiness in turn gave them a deep sense of satisfaction, a feeling of truly “being a hero”.

The students further added “Whether we give our time, information, talents, encouragement, acknowledgment, thoughts, compliments, kindness, smiles, love or money, our gifts can be very meaningful in someone else''''s life whether we are aware of their direct effects or not. And those gifts, by the Law of Giving and Receiving, do return back to us tenfold. That is the magic of giving and we experienced it today!”
