Ericsson’s University Programme – EMPOWER concluded with a campus recruitment drive by high power team from Ericsson on 11th March at AITTM.
Mr. Manish Madan – Chief Talent Acquisition along with his large team of six HR and Technical professionals interviewed 45 B.Tech. students who had passed the aptitude test held earlier.
The day began with
Mr. Manish Madan presenting a memento to
Director General Lt. Gen. P.D. Bhargava with caption – “ Joining Hands to Empower Future Telecommunication Professional” which further cemented the already cordial professional relationship that AITTM shares with Ericsson since last three years.
In September 2009, under
EMPOWER Brand, EXCEL certification program was launched by President of Ericsson India Mr. Gowton Achaibar at AITTM – Amity University. EXCEL is the first of its kind initiative in the Indian industry. It is a
Customized Telecommunication Certification Program that combines practical knowledge with simulated training, to empower and make young telecom engineers industry ready quickly. It also helps to bridge the growing ‘ demand – supply ‘ gap for telecom professionals.
Later Ericsson joined hands with some more engineering institutions and launched the certification program for providing training in the telecom sector to make value for the students, industry, institutes and society. This blended training program approach is a mix of web based training and seminars adding up to 70 hours delivered through online learning, class room sessions, site visits and a certification examination by their own delivery experts.
Through EMPOWER Brand, Ericsson maintains relationship with students and Universities in 3 phases.
• CONNECT – Internship opportunities at Ericsson for students
• EXCEL - Telecom training opportunity to students
• CAREER – Job opportunities with Ericsson through the Trainee Program.
It is designed to give students maximum exposure possible and keep them involved with Ericsson for an entire year.
This program has helped Ericsson gain visibility among the Telecom Students Community and also helped our students to start and build a promising career with one of the best Telecommunication Multinationals in the world. Last year 28 students were picked up from AITTM in one go. This year they are likely to select 40 students.
