Prof. S. P. Malhotra, President, All India Association for Educational Research delivers lecture at Amity Institute of Education, Amity University
Prof. S. P. Malhotra, President, All India Association for Educational Research and Senior Consultant, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), former Dean, Academic Affairs, Kurukshetra University delivered the Third AIE Extension Lecture titled ‘Learning Communities in the Present Context’ followed by an interactive session at Amity Institute of Education, Amity University on January 17, 2011.
Prof. Malhotra raised some extremely pertinent questions concerning the current criticism of teachers and proposed learning communities as the solution. He stated that the need is for listening teachers, School based curricula, doing away with numerals in education, be it achievement or enrolment, involvement of parents and society in schools, peer learning and teaching of public relations management in schools. The interactive session was lively, with students raising pertinent questions which were praised by Prof. Malhotra even as he answered them with insight and erudition.
