Valediction Ceremony of “ACT-2011” – the annual Technical Cum Cultural Fest at Amity University Uttar Pradesh
The two day technical-cum-cultural Fest “ACT – 2011” by technical institutions of Amity University culminated with the prize distribution ceremony at the Amity Campus, Sector – 125, Noida.
Eminent personalities present during the valediction were
Wg. Cdr Ashish Kumar Saxena, Managing Director, AKS Information Technology Services Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Suraj Prasad, Regional Manager – North, Websense, Mr. Zafar Iqbal, Former Captain of Indian Hockey team and Ms. Divya Singh, Former Captain and Coach of Indian Basket Ball team.
Welcoming and addressing the august gathering,
Dr. B. Shukla, Pro-VC (A), Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Patron, ACT 2011, DG ASET said that the students have got the rare opportunity of meeting great magnets and industry stalwarts during the technical fest. The students of various educational Institutions across the country participated in the fest. They exchanged ideas with each other.
While sharing his experiences with the august gathering,
Wg. Cdr. Ashish Kumar Saxena, Managing Director, AKS Information Technology Services Pvt. Ltd. said, “being youth of current generation the students should know the power of the internet and learn to exploit the technology for a good purpose. India will be considered a true democratic nation if equal rights are given in real sense to all irrespective of differences. Last but not the least the governmental lapses are to be taken care off by the youth of the country.”
Sharing his views on sports and youth,
Mr. Zafar Iqbal, Former Captain of Indian Hockey team said that the younger generation of the country should indulge in sports activities. Government of India has provided funds worth crores of rupees towards the development of sports. There are ample of opportunities for the youth of the country to excel in the field of sports and bring more medals and trophies to the country, although our youth is trying hard to bring laurels in the sports arena.

Manav Rachana, Karorimal College, Sharda University including prominent educational institutes took part in the fest.
The various events that took place during the fest are Tic Tac Toe, Fashion Show, Raodies 2 point infinity, Console Gaming, Assasin, Minute to Win it, Pocket Tanks.
