Amity Institute of Telecom Technology & Management organized a Guest Lecture on January 25, 2011 for the final year students of MBA-Telecom Management and B.Tech.- Electronics & Communications.
Mr. Naveen Dhar who is presently engaged as a Senior Director , Business Strategy at Huaweis US Innovation Centre was invited to speak on
"The Latest Trends in Telecom Technology". Mr. Dhar has more than 20 years of experience in Telecom with expertise in
Product Management, Marketing, Business Development and Sales and has worked with both tier 1 OEMs as well as start-ups with over 11 years in Silicon Valley.
Mr. Dhar lecture was primarily focused towards the
new devices which are likely to enter Telecom Market for further growth and overcoming next generation problems. He elaborated on utilizing multipurpose devices to improve data ARPU (average revenue per user) at home and at the corporate world.
The speed of processing in the future handsets and the terminals will decide the market in times to come.
A nice comparison was brought out about the time to market IMS applications in 6 years against marketing Face Book in just 6 months. Likewise entry of Smart Phones against Future Phones in the ratio of 70% : 30% in the market for various user friendly applications.
Mr. Dhar had an extensive interactive session with faculty and students of AITTM after his lecture.
