Treat to the Beholders’ –Amity School of Fine Arts (ASFA) conducts a two day Painting Camp at Amity University

In order to provide a creative vent to the aesthetic abilities of the budding artists, ASFA organizes a two day Painting Camp for its students at Amity University Campus, Sector – 125, Noida.

While providing valued mentorship to the participants of the camp, Ms. Mousumi Biswas,Guest Artist shared that “No Art is traditional, what is traditional today was contemporary at some point in time and that is the reason why we know about it today therefore young artists should be urged to express their thoughts and concerns in their works and more importantly their works must be acknowledged and exposed. This camp is an inspiration for the students of Art to help them nurture their creativity with full passion in the form of pictorial images spreading messages of the artist’s mind to the beholders.

Inspiring the participants of the camp, Young and Successful Artist, Mr. Saptarshi Nashkar, stated “Art itself is an inspiration for Art and it allows one great freedom to think and express. The Art market today is greatly receptive of new artists. The commercialization of art and painting has helped art penetrate into the world of common people. Today scope of art is highly visible in the fields of Animation and Fashion Designing.”

Mrs. Divya Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity School of Fashion Technology (ASFT) and ASFA, said that the camp is designed to encourage the budding artists to face the world. It is important that their works should get exposure and guidance from external experts and guest artists, so that this mentorship helps their talent bloom and in future, they crete antique and priceless paintings of the market.

Mr. Mithilesh Kumar, Faculty, ASFA and a participant of the camp, said “Aesthetic painting is a source of mental pleasure. Painting today has made its place in the fields of Textile Designing, Animation art, Applied art etc. The challenge for all artists is ‘how to think new and different to keep their fountain of creativity alive’.

Mr. Swapan Bhandhari, Faculty, ASFA, and Participant of the camp, said “the uniqueness of the camp lies in providing the students with an opportunity to see the creation of masterpieces by experts and guest artists. This camp will give the students the scope to practically observe their mentors at work.”

Ms. Shania Agarwal, Student (Bachelors in Fine Arts), ASFA, Participant during the Camp said “This camp is an inspiration to all aspiring artists to be able to express human emotions and feelings under the guidance of mentors and teachers.”

Ms. Heena Singh, Students, (Masters in Fine Arts), ASFA, Participant during the camp, stated “the camp will provide a vast exposure to budding artists and is a source of confidence to pursue Art in future.”

Over 15 students and faculty members from ASFA are enthusiastically participating in the camp. This camp is designed to offer a sublime scope to the students and faculty to experience the joy of expressing thoughts through vibrant images under the able guidance of the experts of Art
