Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET) organizes Corporate Forum on “Rising Trends in Mechanical and Automation Industry” at Amity University
A Corporate Forum on “Rising Trends in Mechanical and Automation Industry” by the technical experts from India Yamaha, was organized by ASET for the students of B.Tech – Mechanical Automation Engineering (IIIrd year), at Amity University Campus, Sector – 125, Noida. The objective of the forum was to bring Academia close to the Industry and support the students with industrial exposure.
Addressing the gathering, Chief guest Mr. S. P Paul, Group Head, Purchase, India Yamaha informed that Yamaha has two Plants in Surajpur (founded in 1964) and Faridabad (founded in 1985) which are responsible for the processes of machining, heat treatment, painting, assembly lines, pressing, welding and plating. Yamaha exports its products to 22 countries across the world and the FZ model received highest acceptability in the market. The model FZ 16 was awarded the best bike of the year by UTV & Auto Car India and model YZF-R15 was awarded Bike of the year by CNBC& Overdrive. Mr. Paul said “Performance of a vehicle is based on the quality of its engine. All bikes today have 4 strikes engines after the Government’s regulation of emission. Today every bike that is launched is upgraded to the standard of emission.” Mr. Paul enlightened the students about the 4Ms (Man, Machine, Method and Material) of the automation industry and said “it requires smartness, intelligence, discipline and punctuality to become an efficient Industrial professional.”
Encouraging such corporate Forums Ms. Arti Sharma, Head, Humar Resource, India Yamaha, said “Corporate forum bridges the gap between theory and practical know how and it guides the students to intelligently react to the demands of the market.”
Also present in the Forum were Prof. P.K Rohtagi, Senior VP, HOD, Training & Placement, Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) and faculty members of ASET.
The forum was followed by an interactive session between the students and technical experts from India Yamaha wherein concepts of Fuel efficiency, Pick up, Power and Price of a vehicle were discussed.
