Amity University organizes a Panel Discussion, ‘Amrit Kaal Vimarsh’ on “Technology & Innovation: Catalyst for the Transformational Journey of Viksit Bharat@ 2047”

 Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET), Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida, organized a Panel Discussion, ‘Amrit Kaal Vimarsh’, on the topic "Technology & Innovation: Catalyst for the Transformational Journey of Viksit Bharat @ 2047", with an aim to motivate the students to participate and contribute to realize the goal of Viksit Bharat @2047. Under the Viksit Bharat@2027 campaign, Amity University has invited students to share their innovative ideas on the vision of Viksit Bharat, in line with the ViksitBharat@2047 initiative by Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi ji.

 

Sharing his views on Digital Democracy, Mr. Golok Kumar Simli, Principal Advisor and Chief Technology Officer, Ministry of External Affairs, averred, “India is a democracy where its citizens are free to share and express their thoughts, opinions and ideas. Digital democracy incorporates a diverse range of tools which use both existing and emerging information sources, thereby providing a platform to the people to express their concerns, interests, and perspectives. There is a need for universal digital literacy so that every citizen of the country can voice their opinion freely on digital platforms.” He emphasized the role of technology in uplifting underprivileged sections and ensuring equal access to technology.

Ms. Lata Singh, Partner -Strategic Partner Leader, IBM Consulting stated, “Today’s age is a digital age where technology is playing an important role in every aspect of life. Technology is constantly evolving therefore, there is a need to adapt to the fast-changing technology and stay updated on the technological advancement such as generative AI, AI trends, and develop leadership skills.”

 

Welcoming the guests on this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity School of Engineering & Technology, emphasized the responsibility of educational institutions in shaping the future of the country and stressed upon the importance of education for world development. He called upon the students to participate in Viksit Bharat@2047 and share their innovative ideas with the government on how a Viksit Bharat should look like in 2047 in different aspects, what do the students need to do reach this goal and what can they do to make Viksit Bharat@2047 possible.

The Panel Discussion concluded with felicitation of the guests and a Q&A session, wherein the queries of the students were answered by the esteemed panelists.
